Quick Note To Readers

Shannon Shark, Mets Police Chief

Hey everyone - thanks for all the comments this week.  I've been taking a few days off, and as previously mentioned much of the non-timely stuff was pre-planned.  I just wanted to thank everyone who has left comments, and I'll catch up on those next week.   Thanks to Dan for minding the store, and I hope nobody (especially the regulars0 feel ignored...back to normal Sunday.   The tiki bar is calling..no Mets for me tonight.

Oh, if anyone took pictures of the non-Mets tickertape parade today and you'd care to share please send them to pictures@metspolice.com

Speaking of parades, can anyone explain to me why NYC had one for Sammy Sosa, a Cub, after he hit the second most home runs of all-time?  I look it up every now and then to make sure I didn't imagine it.

If You're Visiting For The First Time

If you are visiting The Mets Police for the first time, welcome. This blog aims to be a little different. We're less likely to complain about a pitching change than we are likely to complain about what the pitcher was wearing. We're about Mets history and tradition. We'd like to see a Seaver statue at Citi Field. We'd like the black uniforms to go away. We'd like the team to always treat the fans with respect. We're just regular old Mets fans like you who have migrated from the uppers to the Promenade where we were saddened when we found plexiglass. Finally, for all our complaining we just want the franchise to win the World Series (while nicely dressed).

We're in the middle of a series called "5 Questions for Average Mets Fans." Depending on when you visit the site it may or may not be the top article. Scroll down and you'll see some of the other types of articles we do....ticket plans, new uniforms, memories, anything Mazzilli or Seaver.

The site is updated several times a day, usually morning, noon, and night (cliche but true) with other items as they come in. Welcome!
Mets Police in no way claims to be news nor accurate, including the stuff to which we link. It's just a blog. Read the blog and/or take our advice at your own risk. We encorage everyone to support the New York Mets and their business partners. Just don't wear a black Mets jersey while doing so.
