Cashen, Gooden, Johnson and Strawberry Mets Hall of Fame Charity Reception

I am personally pleased to see Gooden hasn’t been exiled in light of whatever happened with the police incident a few months back.   We’ve all given Doc lots of chances, and I’m still not sure what happened that night….

  1. Sad about Gooden. I remember when he came back from rehab that first time in 87 – I think Spiderman got married at home plate before the game – and Shea was rockin, and Gooden pitched like the Doc we knew, and people were tearing up the comic books they gave away and throwing them like confetti. One of my favorite baseball nights ever.

    So, yeah, it’s sad.
