My Mets ticket experience was different

You will want to entertain yourself with Media Goon’s attempt to buy tickets yesterday and I’d be curious if anyone else had the same experience…but I personally had the opposite experience.

I had laid some ground work with a ticket rep last week and then this morning knocked out what I wanted. A little bit of phone tag, but nothing crazy – I missed a call because I went to unload some coffee – but by the end of it I had my 15 game plan in “my” seats that I really like.

I made a Mostly Saturdays Plan.  I shaved the Saturdays when I know I will be out of town (I do other things than blog and know well in advance that I will be away on a certain weekend), and decided September Saturdays are a hassle because soccer starts.  If the Mets are in a pennant race then they can sell me more tickets.

For the remainder of the games I picked some weekdays that work for me, and because I am cheap I headed toward value games or whatever they are called.

We had a nice twitter debate (I’m @metspolice) yesterday about buying tickets or not.  Some, like me, like having tickets.  Others think we’re supporting some sort of evil regime or something.   It’s an individual choice.  If you like having tickets then buy tickets.  If not, then don’t.  Whatever.

If you’re having trouble just reach out to the Mets.  I can assure you firsthand they are paying close attention to good customer service.
