Where to Customize a Mets Jersey

Shannon posted earlier how he was having a hard time trying to get a jersey customized through MLB.com.In the comments section of that post Terrence suggested:

Use Stitchess www.stitchesny.com in Queens.

They are the official stitchers of the Mets, Knicks, and Islanders. I sent an email to ask about pricing and found out its $50 to customize a jersey. That isn’t too bad if you ask me. I used to pay a lot more in the past when I had other jerseys done elsewhere.

I think I’ll bring my new 2012 Blue BP jersey, Home, and Road jerseys to get done.

  1. If accuracy is important, you can’t beat going to the Mets’ stitcher, can you? Plus you probably could get them to put just about anything on it.

  2. i can vouch for stitches. Any time I need anything customized, they’re pretty much the guys who I use and they can do pretty much any jersey attribute the Mets have had.  For example, I used them to customize a 2004 Mets jersey with both the Bob Murphy and Tug tributes they wore that year. I’ve never had any issues, their prices are competitive and the turn around time is great

  3. Well, Modells had no known reason for cancelling, but MLB.com is now cheaper for a custom. I played around with the preview and found you cannot make
Seaver, Piazza, Mookie, Mex, or the Kid, but you can make Hojo, Straw, Doc, Ryan, Casey, Lee Mazzilli and Gil Hodges (full names and numbers).

        1. Yeah the didn’t allow it last year either and it wasn’t funny last year when someone suggested it.
