Mets Police Morning Laziness: that was close

SLACKISH REACTION:  whew that was close.  We narrowly escaped without having to be subjected to a Yankees World Series (although the embarrassment to Sandy & The Wilpons may have been worth it).

On that, I was thinking about Sandy.  A few good throw-deeps (bringing in Dickey), Beltran trade I guess and fleecing Toronto (for Dickey) – but the entire success of the team this decade is based upon his second choice getting hot for six weeks and then three weeks of a guy he couldn’t wait to be rid of.  What are we even doing here?

On the TV side, I actually watched for 2.5 hours.  Why?  Because I was playing Civiliztion 6 on the laptop and wanted something to stare at while the computer took its turn.

Smoltz is terrible saying the most obvious things like saying one team wants to score here.  Yeah?

So I watched and then it was 10:50 and I started yawning so I blew off the rest of a game 7 which is really kind of ridiculous from the standpoint of the sport.

Anyway, on to Dodgers-Astros which sounds like a mid-week ESPN game I wouldn’t look at even if they played it in my backyard.

NOT LINKING:  Manager crap articles….and…the guys over at Amazing Insiderized Mets Blog wrote about Aoki.  I can’t think of anything to not link to more.
