Mets Police Morning Laziness: non-tender The Dark Knight?

SLACKISH REACTION:  It is raining so horrible people park in handicapped spots at Donuts Chain.  I mixed it up and tried the Peppermint Mocha Iced Coffee this morning.  Nice change of pace but I will go back to Maple Pecan tomorrow.

I guess the closest thing to Mets news is this article in the newspaper about The Dark Knight.   Mickey seems to think he will be able to get Matt Harvey (34-35 career) back to Ubaldo Jiminez level good, and as John Harper points out in the article – Ubaldo Jiminez?   That’s the Next Seaver everyone.

“I would non-tender him,” says ex-Met GM Steve Phillips, now an analyst for MLB Radio. “It’s not even so much about the money as it is the spot in the rotation. When he fails, you don’t have a No. 3 starter. You don’t have someone to take that spot.

I know it’s really hard to multi-task and Mets Twitter can only focus on Dom Smith, but Mets Police readers are smart and can handle more than one topic at once. Here’s an important one that gets overlooked by most.

I will be curious to see how this development continues without the mall, and when exactly that affordable housing and new school opens.
Jason Fry and I did an episode of the podcast.  The Mets stuff starts 25 minutes in.

NOT LINKING: The guys at Amazing Apple Insiderized Mets Blog Line think the Mets COULD sign Duda.  Do not hold your breath guys – although if you do at least there will be 51 surviving writers who can churn out more content. Those guys actually have three COULD articles this morning. Content for Content’s sake.

Today is one of my favorite days of the year as I should be able to wrap work early and then go Chill & Netflix (again that’s actual chilling aka video games and actual Netflix.  I know you millennials have another version but be married for 20 years and let me know how that goes for you.  Enjoy your youth kids!)
