My uncle posted this on Facebook. The first thing that caught my eye was how small Murphy’s name was (you guys know how I roll), but then I thought I’d overanalyze it. There are some weird choices here.
The name that jumps out is SEAVER, so that’s good. Of equal font weight is STAUB. Hey we all love Rusty and he recently passed away, but that seems a little high? From Staub my eyes go to Yogi, and yeah we all like Yogi and all but he’s a Yankee. Reyes and Grote in the corners feels right. My eyes scroll up and I see Wilson, ok. A tiny Hodges. Again a giant BERRA and a tiny Hodges doesn’t feel right.
ASHBURN. Ashburn? (Googles…) One season with the 1962 Mets but not sure I think of him as a Met. Then again my uncle is old enough to be my uncle so maybe this tee is targeted at Generation Expansion Team.
Leiter bigger than Kingman? Feels very wrong.
I finally noticed where Wright is. I actually didn’t notice and had a paragraph here (now deleted) but now I see it. I also can’t find my keys.
