I’ll Buy That for a Dollar

I am sorry I am a day late on this. Any of you guys realize where the title of the post is from? Anyhoo, as the Mets reach .500 we can ponder on this.

“The reported deal, still subject to approval by MLB, is said to be a $200 million investment in the team by Einhorn, who would get a 33% stake in the team. If Wilpon and Katz repay Einhorn the $200M within three years,
Einhorn will have the option to gain the majority share (60% according to this article) for just one dollar. One hundred pennies.”

That is from MLB daily dish you can read more there.

What’s the over/under of Einhorn buying the Mets in 3 years?

MAN UP AND BUY SHIRTS

Since we are in a rain delay, let me say this. Shannon doubted me. He said it couldn’t be done. We ran into production trouble, due to our supplier getting thrown out of Citi Field and and all the publicity he has since garnered.

But, yes. I MANNED UP and found a screen printer to help us realize the dream of being able to tell out team to MAN UP AND PLAY BETTER, when they are not playing up to par. You can wear it for when a certain left fielder is not playing well. Or, when a player blows it on the base paths.MAN UP AND PLAY BETTER.
So Shannon, I have the shirts ready to go. Where are you going to MAN UP and have this blog ready so our fellow Mets fans can buy these shirts from us?

Here is just a sneak preview of the shirt, I swear I will have a better model showing it off then just my chair here. Hmmm. I wonder if it would look good on a black shirt?

Guys, in the comment section do me a favor tell me if you are thinking about ordering any shirts so I can gauge if I need to have more shirts made up past this initial order I have.

I want to give a thank you to A&J Stitching of Ozone Park for doing such a great job on the shirts.

Jeter might hit his 3000th hit at Citi Field. So what?

Yankees fans have been asking me how I feel about the idea of Jeter potentially hitting his 3000th hit at Citi Field.

I don’t care.

I usually avoid the Subway Series games because fans in the stands (on both sides) act like knuckleheads. This year I might go because my kid wants to.

If Jeter gets his 3000th hit I will politely applaud a career milestone. It doesn’t hurt me any more than if he got his 2998th hit in Queens or even when he won the 2000 World series at Shea. It’s baseball, you have to play someone and those guys are trying to win too.

Sorry Yankees fans, you can’t “little brother” me on this one. I will be glad to jack my selling price on Stubhub though.
