Queens Museum removes Shea, adds Citi, makes sense

This is from a while back but I didn’t see it discussed anywhere…and I apparently never posted it way back on March 23rd like I’d planned.

Shea Stadium, youre outta here!  A month after the last piece of the Mets longtime ballpark came down, the Queens Museum of Art…..replaced a 6-inch-long Shea replica with a pint-size Citi Field on its massive panorama of New York City.

Mets + Donuts

Good morning.  It’s another one of those Sunday mornings where I’m out doing Actual Athletics, so while Media Goon watches the house here’s some awesome Generic Content I like to call “Why Didn’t You Tell Me?”

According to Gothamist this truck was at Citi Field!

As you may know, I am a big fan of thus Unnamed Donuts Chain – and that very same Chain advertises on SNY and at Citi Field.  Clearly they believe there is an intersection of Mets fans and Dounts fans…but I will not speak their name until they buy some advertising on my site.

Believe you me I wanted to use this as the Saturday Donuts Post but generic content is generic content and I gotta use when I’m busy, which is right now.

Thanks!

April was the third straight record month for visits and page views to the site…by a lot.

My appreciation to the newer readers, the folks who have followed for years, the facebook friends, twitter pals, anyone who sends in stuff, the Mets PR staff for providing cool information for me to share, and especially those who link to MP especially MetsBlog.

I’m blown away by how many people checked in this month, I hope we can hit those same numbers in May.  This is truly fun to do.

Let’s Go Mets!
