The Mets Police

Here are some shots from tonight’s Mets game.  Folks have been tweeting me @metspolice during each game and this seems to be a popular feature.

This is something called the Apple.  @ceetar saw this rise when Dan Murphy homered, and as you all know #imwith28 and you will all love Dan come June as I said all winter.

Also from @ceetar is this Keith Hernandez burger.  From the looks of things it too rises when a home run is hit.

As for the crowd…@cslevine sent this around 8:20 or so and called it “sparse but spread out all over”

and one more from @ceetar – so let’s plug his site Optimistic Mets Fan and look at the crowd once more.

In other news, the Mets wore pinstripes (all hail Kevin Kierst) and @philhecken tells me there was a uniform discussion on television.  He tweeted me: GARY “I like the way they made it slightly off-white” (Keith likes the pins) — earlier they talked about the socks.

I suspect Uni Watch will cover that tomorrow.

The Mets also presented the starting line up for the first game Jackie Robinson played in baseball.

Or the way the answer is phrased maybe I should say “What is Tom Seaver?”
