Girardi Watch

I observe that Joe Torre has a game and a half lead and Joe Girardi is in 4th place.

See you Sep 21st for the final game at Yankee Stadium.  Will it be Girardi’s?   Don’t scoff.  Yankee managers don’t get to finish 4th.

  1. I hear already the excuses that injuries caused this years faulter and not Girardi. However, we fans of torre notice that even with the amount of injuries, there is still way more fire power in the Yankees lineup then there is in the Dodgers lineup. Its philosophy that has killed the Yankees this year, not payroll or injuries. At times i have noticed during the games that moves are made that seem to have no place in a Yankee line up. IE. Jeter bunting in the first inning, or Abreu stealing second so that the A-rod can be walked. It has happened a few times this year, and A-Rods protector usually strikes out. I don’t know that Torre would do any better, but i wanted Mattingly when Torre decided to leave. Girardi has never had much success as a manager, He’s not a first place manager.
