Cool old New York Giants cap

Good morning Mets fans,

Busy weekend as “Daddy” this weekend starting with right now where I’m probably at soccer or baseball or eating donuts (probably two of the three).

@yvaithe bought this cap recently, and if memory serves me right he bought it at Citi Field.

What’s interesting about this cap is that it shows that while blue and orange work well together, so do black and orange.  The problem becomes when you try to mix black and blue, say on a hyrbid cap.

  1. Yeah I love the logo and was surprised they had the NY Giants hat next to the Brooklyn Dodgers hat.

  2. I also just picked up the 1997 white Mets cap at Lids in Times Square. What a breath of fresh air with no black ANYWHERE

  3. is it just the light reflection or is the brim a “darker” black than the crown?

and as long as the mets are so in love with black, i totally agree with you that there is nothing wrong with simply adopting the old cap

simple and classic…and unlike the royal and navy, which DO NOT WORK together, that does, just fine, thank you

    1. Agree with adopting this, perhaps as the road cap. Blue at home and black on the road (which kind of fits since the road uniforms owe so much to the New York Giants road uniforms)?
