Buying Mets Opening Day Tickets wasn’t torture this year!

Well I guess everyone is back in the Bronx.  Unlike the last few years I got OD tickets no problem!  Last year all the 2015 Frontrunners scooped up OD so I couldn’t even get in via the primary market.

But now the Mets suck again so they will turn back to reliable fans like me and sell us fools the tickets until 2023 when the Yankees suck and the Mets are good and everyone comes back over and acts like they are big Mets fans.  You know how this goes.

I got two in the Promenade for $65 each which is a lot for a baseball game but I haven’t gone in – it will be two years when I make this appearance – so OK fine.  Prom Reserve was also available but I’m no millionaire so I don’t mind sitting over a bit.

I must be getting soft in my old age because the bullshit convenience fee of $11.50 didn’t piss me off because it was just one bullshit convenience fee not two.

I’m also rusty and bought Row 1 so I probably have some horrible railing or plexiglass ruining my day – but hey I can always get LOTS of blog material out of that.  Or maybe the seats are good.

I even got suckered into whatever a Mets Holiday Box is.  I have no idea, but it’s $9 and I figured it was worth the $9 to have something to blog about.

$141.50 for me and the kid to go to a game…plus tolls…plus food….and I don’t even pay for parking.  Still a friggin’ expensive day.

Anyway – see you guys on Opening Day!
