Gare was having a great day. He had beautiful calls on some of the great JDG moments. Keith mentioned how beautifully Gare described the weather.
It was the 9th inning of a tie game. Then this happened.

Everything else about the call is great. Emotion, excitement, but it’s got the John Sterling middle. Gary needs to stop doing that on 95% of his calls. He’s better than that.

But….just when I was ready to give Gary a Sterling, he let the game breathe on the walkoff and let the pictures tell the story as the Braves celebrated. That’s how you do it Gare.
