Mets who hid 2018 Holiday Party info from me want me to tell you about the Food Drive

The Mets, who didn’t tell me about the Holiday Party, would like me to tell you about their Food Drive so I shall.  Additionally interesting is that they included an image, which is something all press notifications should include.

The Mets will host their annual Food Drive presented by Hain Celestial benefitting The Mary Brennan Inn on Tuesday, December 11 from 10:00 am – 6:00 pm at the Mets Team Store at Citi Field. As a not-for-profit, volunteer based organization, The INN provides a broad variety of essential services to assist those challenged by hunger, homelessness and profound poverty.

Fans donating at least 10 non-perishable items will receive a voucher redeemable for two tickets to select Mets home games in April or May 2019. All types of canned and packaged goods are welcome, but no glass containers or perishable foods.  Further details can be found at mets.com/fooddrive.

Among the items most needed are: milk (powdered, evaporated, boxed), all types of pasta (packaged), rice, ramen noodles, canned vegetables, canned fruit, mac and cheese (packaged), oatmeal, hot and cold cereal (packaged, family-sized), boxed grits, tuna, and powdered mashed potatoes.
