The Mets’ biggest star, Wags, will be on TV with A-Rod

ESPN will televise Pivot with Alex Rodriguez on Thursday, March 28, at 11 p.m. ET on ESPN2, following ESPN’s exclusive telecast of MLB Opening Night – Boston Red Sox at Seattle Mariners –, which starts at 7 p.m. on ESPN. Pivot with Alex Rodriguez, a 30-minute special, will feature the World Series Champion and Sunday Night Baseball analyst conducting three exclusive, sit-down interviews with the following guests:

  • Alex Cora, World Series Champion Red Sox manager, on his pivot from respected MLB role player to World Series Champion manager.
  • Brodie Van Wagenen on his pivot from being one of baseball’s super agents to becoming the executive vice president and general manager of the New York Mets.
  • Christian Yelich on his pivot from Miami Marlins young star to Milwaukee Brewers National League M.V.P.

“I was thrilled to uncover the personalities and stories behind three of the most intriguing and compelling career transitions in the game today,” said Rodriguez. “I hope people come away from these conversations with a deeper sense of who these guys truly are, what motivates them and the hard work that’s necessary for a meaningful pivot.”

Pivot with Alex Rodriguez will also stream via the ESPN App and will re-air multiple times on ESPN platforms in the coming weeks.

A-Rod is one of the broadcasters of Sunday Night Baseball along with noted baseball operations expert Jessica Mendoza, who works for Wags in that capacity.

Also that third one….”on his pivot from Miami Marlins young star to Milwaukee Brewers National League M.V.P.” is that really a Pivot?  Did Yelich decide to stop being a young player and decided to be an MVP?  I think we may be shoehorning that third guest into a format, no?
