Report: Mets delayed getting into Syracuse

This sucks.

A few things about the Post’s report – I think there’s a typo and they mean plane not plan, hey typos happen.  Also this article suggest that Tuesday’s workout is optional, whereas another article suggests Wednesday in Washington is optional.  My guess is that the article I cite here is rushed and that Wednesday being optional is the correct information.

Anyway, it’s great to have the circus back!

The Mets were supposed to take off around 6 p.m., but could not due to a mechanical issue that necessitated a part be transported from Tampa to Sarasota. Instead, the team will be landing in Syracuse close to midnight after finally getting in the air around 9 p.m., making it an hours-long delay. According to The Post’s Mike Puma, a lot of guys on the plan are “pissed off” about the extended snafu, making the goodwill jaunt to the site of the Mets’ new Triple-A affiliate less cheery.
