Link -> Councilman wants MLB to make rain delay rules more fair to fans (NY Post)

I had to bounce this a few times because of the Mickey Watch, but things seem safe this morning so…..

Here’s an interesting political play….

Councilman Justin Brannan fired off a letter to Manfred on Tuesday, urging him to implement a new policy requiring umpires to call games once rain delays stretch more than an hour beyond the scheduled first pitch so that “loyal fans” are no longer “lingering endlessly.”

The Councilman goes on to suggest MLB adopt a policy where fans can swap their tickets for Iffy games rather than schlep out there and hope for the best.

I of course advocate that you just buy a nice TV and stay home with your backpack and enjoy the comforts of a nice couch.
