Mets Police Morning Laziness: the Party Is Over and it’s time to clean up

You know you traded away the farm, right?

SLACKISH REACTION:  I dunno.  I had a BIG ASS PARTY and wasn’t on the internet all day and sure as hell didn’t watch the Mets game (btw don’t watch the Mets nor the NFL today, it is supposed to be nice out and winter is coming…).

Anyway from what I gather, Stroman wasn’t good.  He’s 1-2 with a 5.05 ERA.

There are FIVE aces

Meanwhile, Anthony Kay – one of the 87 prospects Wags traded away this year, and specifically Kay went for Stroman, pitch 5.2, 2 runs and 8Ks, and made some sort of shot at the Syracuse Mets staff for getting in his head and not letting him do his thing.

The Mets are 4 games out of the Wild Cardand drew 28,848 which if I’m the Mets and I double mortgaged the future, I’m playing Meaningful Games and I have guys like Pete Alonso…and I still have 16,000 empty seats on a Saturday night (after all surveys show Mets fans love Saturday night games) – I would be worried about what this means for the future.  I was with a bunch of Big Time Mets Fans yesterday and there wasn’t much buzz…nobody believes in this team.

I’ll stick to message – we go two extra months of Watchable Baseball so be thankful…but just like the BIG ASS PARTY, the sun comes up the next day and you gotta clean up the mess.   Wags.
