Mets Police Morning Laziness: $89 jerseys! Hojo and Wagner to join Koosman at Queens Baseball Convention

Let’s start here – Marcus Stroman, the man who would wear a black Mets jersey with zero where a proper number should go,  is proving himself to be really good at getting things wrong.  The Post Headline Maker got my attention witH “Stroman defends Carlos Beltran from trolls.”   But let us not at all overlook the end of the article.

Before Beltran’s alleged role in the scandal came to light, Stroman, like many players, was appalled by the initial report outlining the Astros’ transgressions.

“Wow wow wow,” Stroman tweeted. “This is bad. Awful for the game of baseball man. Sheesh.”

So which is it Stro?  Is it cool now because it was our guy that was cheating?

SLACKISH REACTION:  it has been a nice week here at MPHQ.  People not only read the site (because I wrote things for the first time in like two months) but people even liked what I wrote (for the first time since 2009).

The super popular piece was me wondering what this RA Dickey Is All About Himself Narrative is all about.  I still don’t get it, and from the tweets and Facebook Page comments, you don’t see to either.

New topic: whatever happened to the Mets Fan Council or whatever that was?

The Queens Baseball Convention announced that Howard Johnson and Billy Wagner will be joining Jerry Koosman in attendance at the event on January 18th at Mulcahy’s.   Tickets are going on sale on Friday.  I shall keep you updated.

Today is one of my favorite days of the year.  It is one of the truly great Video Game Playing days.  Work wraps early.  Dad’s Taxi is closed.  Video Games!   Friday is of course THE best video game day of the year, but some maniac scheduled a soccer tournament so I don’t get to play games. Booo.

A reminder that if you need gifts, Mets jerseys are $89 as they try to get rid of the old ones.  Wouldn’t you rather have an $89 deGrom jersey without a swoosh than a $119 one with?

If you need something to do, check out the Shark & Goon podcast.  That’s @mediagoon and I talking about (so far) Star Wars: The Mandalorian recaps.  There is zero Mets content on that podcast.
