The Mets have reportedly signed Rick Porcello to a one year $10M deal.
I do not know much about Rick but I know that he went to Seton Hall Prep, and that he donated a ton of cash to fund Porcello Field which is where Seton Hall Prep plays baseball, football and soccer and is a gorgeous facility nicer than some college ones I have seen.
So based on that, he appears to be an awesome guy. I don’t see Matt Harvey Field any place, do you?
Also fwiw and somewhat random of me to mention: Porcello will make $10M, compared to Matt Harvey making $11M last year (wow great job Boras on that Harvey deal wow.).
Too bad MLB jerseys come with swooshes now, otherwise I’d be racing @mediagoon to the store.
Meanwhile, I do not agree with David Roth on much (when will Manfred do something about the Yankees btw?) he does nail this tweet.

….which makes me think that Mr. Roth is correct and Thor will be dealt. But if the Arbitration Projections are correct, Thor will get $10M….so why bring on $10M to deal $10M? I dunno.
Now if you aware that Rick Porcello is some sort of anti-environment person who likes to use F’s in the middle of Let’s Go Mets, please let me know. In the meantime, I’m happy he’s here.
