Mets Police Morning Laziness: Chiefs are Clutch, FedEx is whatever the opposite of clutch is

Warning this post will contain some vulgarities in a discussion of a Mets player.

SLACKISH REACTION:  A great Super Bowl.  The game was quite enjoyable, the telecast was on point, and an entertaining half-time show.  I do feel bad for the people on the West Coast who were unable to watch the first half as it all took place before 8:30pm Eastern.  As you know as a baseball fan, West Coast fans cannot watch a national sporting event that starts at 6:30 eastern time….I’m not sure why the NFL hurts the popularity of its biggest game by playing so early.

I am a 49ers fan.  I texted my son in the 4th quarter “I’m up 10 and I am terrified of Mahomes.”  I knew it was coming.  They left the guy too much time.  I was actually relieved when the Chiefs got the garbage TD as it was less painful to lose by 11 than 4.

Not as clutch as he Chiefs is FedEx.  I ordered a “Super Bowl bound” jersey and cap two weeks ago today.   Here’s the shipping journey it has been on, and as of this morning they are telling me it will arrive Wednesday.

I mean come on guys.  I can’t even be made at Fanatics, unless they availed themselves of FedEx Turtle 10 Days Shipping Economy Pricing (is that a thing?)     Why is this taking a week?

And what am I supposed to do with a Super Bowl cap now?  Hey, remember four days ago when my team lost this game?

The cap pictured above is a different cap I bought, it came from New Era in two days and I wore the heck out of it for a week and a half.

Just so annoyed at this.  Bad job FedEx.

On to the Mets……

Vulgar Pete Alonso took to twitter and included a vulgarity in his message.

One wonders why Pete continues to bastardize the proud traditions of our team by dropping an F in there.  This continues to be unacceptable.

I will be monitoring Pete’s season with great interest.
