Mets Police Morning Laziness: Vulgar Pete Alonso weighs in on use of surgical supplies

Vulgar Pete Alonso weighed in on the question about Syndergaard getting Tommy John surgery at a time when hospitals are overwhelmed keeping people alive.

Who is to judge someone’s medical needs in order to perform their job?” Alonso tweeted Monday in response to the story. “Noah’s surgery, or any other athlete’s surgery during this time shouldn’t be scrutinized considering it is done by orthopedic surgeons, not those on the frontlines battling this pandemic. Meanwhile, seems Lenny Dykstra, who I usually have on Full Ignore, is upset about Davey Johnson leaving Dwight Gooden in a game in 1988.  Mr. Dykstra used some Alonso-like vulgarity, so I won’t post it here, but if you want to read it you can see it here, or just wait a few hours until SNY notices it and then the AAIMBR copies them.

SLACKISH REACTION:  There’s just so much stupid out there.  Another few articles about “Should the Mets sign  Matt Harvey” – they might as well sign me because they’d get better press out of the Mets signing some random 50 year old fat guy….and what would I do, pitch to a 7.09ERA?  I wouldn’t even have that chance as I imagine Rojas would come ge me after I walked the first six batters.  Please stop writing stupid stupid articles and at least do a little homework.  The guy is done.

I hope you are well.
