Mets Police Morning Laziness: Dom Smith wants uniform madness

BOOOO

“I mean, the old-school black, that’s obvious, like that should already be in the rotation,” said Smith. “I say we need to bring back maybe the Los Mets ones, the all-orange. I like the orange unis, those were pretty sick, or even the old school 1986 team, the pinstripes, I mean I like that one too. We need a rotation of like five unis so we can swag out. We need the orange. I even like the camo every Sunday for military appreciation night. We gotta swag it out!” (via SNY)

The Best Mets By Number Series is up to #3

Daniel Murphy donated $100,000 to charity.  Let me know if any current Mets donate $100,000 to charity, I would like to share that with my readers.

Lot’s of NOT LINKING Today:

I see a mailbag article asking if the Mets should extend Syndergaard, who won’t pitch for a year and a half, in the middle of The Second Great Depression when the sport isn’t even being played.  Really?  Not Linking.

“No serious talks of neutral site games” – yeah no kidding.  Did some of us wakeup this morning thinking there was serious talk of that?

The Agent is talking about how awesome his rotation is.  I’m sure he believes that.  Whatever.   There is no baseball right now.

and the very random Rusty Staub would be out there fighting Coronavirus article in the newspaper.  Um, yeah, I guess, but are we really down to writing Fan Fiction now?   Maybe just don’t bother having a sports section for a bit?  Next the newspaper will be simulating Matt Harvey starts in a video game and turning that into content.

SLACKISH REACTION:   So I kinda felt like we he had “too much content” these past few years.  Just too many bad tv shows, too many bad websites, too many empty calories.  Maybe this will shake things out.

There’s plenty of great stuff out there right now – the Washington Post and New York Times have been excellent.  The Ringer had a great piece with Mike Schur about sitcoms.  On the other hand there’s always “Prospect Kevin Smith has impressed the Mets Brass” over at the content farm.  If you want to read that, hey, it’s not like you don’t have free time…but I hope nobody has that much free time.
