The 2012 season was one of the greatest Mets seasons of all time, and definitely WAY up there in terms of great season that didn’t result in playoffs. I would take 2012 over some teams that DID make the playoffs. Sure we traded a guy’s career for a hashtag and some t-shirts but the most important thing was the Mets celebrated the 50th anniversary of the franchise by restoring the uniforms.
