MLB has Mets-Nats play weekday game for some reason. It’s Game Notes time!

MLB in its wisdom has scheduled a Thursday daytime in front of zero fans, presumably so the Mets can make it all the way to Philadelphia by 7pm tomorrow, and the Nets have to go even further to Baltimore.

Today, David Peterson aims to become the third Mets starting pitcher in club history to start and win three of his first four career games…Steven Matz (2015) won career starts Nos. 1, 2 and 4 and Jason Jacome won career starts Nos. 2-4.

Meanwhile, LGM Convert  Pete Alonso is batting .300/.432/.600 with six runs, three doubles, two home runs, seven RBI and seven walks…He has collected five extra-base hits over his last six games compared to one in his first 13 games over his last 9 games.  Way to go Pete, and like Pete says LGM!

Dom “The Alarm” Smith has an extra base hit in five of his last six games (four doubles and two home runs in that span)…Dom Co-leads the team with 11RBI.

The Mets are batting .238/.330/.402 in 11 games at home with 11 home runs…This compares to a .270/.364/.401 slashline with nine home runs in eight games on the road…The team has scored 43 runs at home compared to 39 on the road…The team is 4-7 at home this year with a 5.49 ERA (61 earned runs/100.0 innings) compared to 4-4 with a 4.63 ERA (35 earned runs/68.0 innings) on the road.
