Matt Harvey started for the Royals! How’d it go? You’ll look!

Well well well look who’s back!  The Real Deal is looking a little nervous…

But it’s time to take the hill…

and let’s remind everyone of his Hall of Fame stats!

But that’s the past.  It’s time to play and the first pitch is a STRIKE!  The Dark Knight is back baby!

No joke here – the second pitch missed inside and the Royals’ announcer said “Harvey’s got good stuff so far!”  Tap the brakes pal, you have no idea what’s coming.

Uh oh the 3-1 fastball to Votto is lined to right!

Now I quite loudly warned the Royals that Matt cannot pitch with runners on base.

But Castellano looks at strike 3.  It’s a strikeout.  The Dark Knight is back baby!

The Royals announcers are quite impressed with the 31 year old former next Seaver.    And now Winker takes strike 3!

Matt gets a fly out to end the first!  And we’re on to the second…

It’s another one of those pesky lead off walks.  Can Matty Baseball repeat the magic?

The fastball is clocking at 93-94.

Matt got a fly out, then one of those 385 foot fly outs that I warned the Royals about, and another called strike 3.  Here’s our first “Matt walks to the dugout” shot of the Royals era!

Another strikeout (4) to lead off the third!  A fly out to CF for out number two, a line drive to RF single, and I swear to you I could sense in my bones what was about to happen….

and before I can even process what happened…this happened….

It’s back to back jacks and we have our Featured Image.  Royals fans, I did warn y’all that Harvey is fine until he’s not.  You just lived it.

A man in a mask seems to want to speak to Matt about something.

A 380 fly out gets Matt out of it, but he looks sad.

And that’s that.  Matt did not return for the 4th.

Royals fans got the full experience.  He looks OK and then the wheels come off and the HRs go over the fence.  This will be 90% of his starts Royals fans, with the occasional 6 innings 1 run start that gives you hope.  You have been quite loudly warned.

3 IP, 3  runs, 4 hits, 4 Ks and 2 walks.  Will we ever see Matt pitch again? Stay tuned  Same Bat Time, Same Bat Channel.
