Mets Game Notes Pizza edition.

Look Mets I appreciate the game notes and all but they were kinda late today and I am trying to enjoy this pizza I just got.

The big news is of course that Vukgar Pete, he of the net negative WAR is not playing again. You may now all apologize and bend the knee and accept that I am better at evaluating talent than all of you who come at me.

Let’s keep this simple this evening

RHP Franklyn Kilome has been activated from the 10-Day IL.

INF Luis Guillorme has been optioned to the team’s Alternate Training Site.

Last night was New York’s 50th game of the year…Dom Smith, who has only played in 42 of those games, because you thought he was a reserve infielder and refused to acknowledge the major holes in Pete’s game, is tied for the most doubles in the team’s first 50 games with 18…John Stearns also had 18 doubles, but played in 48 games…Smith is tied for second in team history with 27 extra-base hits with Pete Alonso, who played in 50 games last year to collect those 27 extra-base hits…Mike Piazza is first with 28 in 2000, appearing in 42 games…Smith is third in franchise history with 40 RBI through the team’s first 50 games…Bernard Gilkey had 46 RBI in 49 games in 1996 and Robin Ventura had 41 RBI in 50 games in 1999.

Let’s check in with Captain Picard.

That’s right Picard! There are five aces! There’s JDG and Thor and the guy on the Phillies and the washed up guy in KC and of course tonight’s SP Steven Matz. Enjoy the game!
