Anyone know about the Mets fan with B.O.?

Hi! Love your blog!! Hoping you can help me. I was at friday’s game vs Atlanta and in between innings they said they had an announcement. And they called out a guy’s name and said ‘you have ….b.o!’ and it was promoting gillette deodorant. The guy was in my section and looked really embarrassed and then took off with his girlfriend going after him. Do you know if this is a normal promotion they do at citifield or were they actors? It was just weird to see the guy leave and he looked so upset… Hoping you can help

Sounds to me like someone was filming an ad…or the Mets have gotten agressive with product placement.

Anyone know?

Am I the only person who remembers George Steinbrenner?

Good morning Mets fans,

Nothing happening in Flushing today so I’m thinking about the Bronx as tends to happen once the leaves start falling in my pool.

Late 70’s/early 80’s.  Crazy guy.  Owned the Yankees.

Fired managers left, right, and left again.

Ran Yogi Berra out of the Bronx.

Suspended from baseball a coupla times.

Traded the young players for old players all the time.

The Yankees fans gave a STANDING OVATION the night it was announced he was suspended.

Anyone remember this man?

Tonight the Yankees will honor a cuddly old general who just wanted to win.   Don’t worry about the Gene Michael part of the story or all the other stuff, it just gets in the way of the fable.
