Rubin says no 1986 celebration, I have heard differently

Adam Rubin’s headline on ESPN New York is:  No ’86 celebration on 25th anniversary

Adam is way more in the trenches than I am…however, I have heard differently and I’ve heard it directly from very good sources.

My belief is that rather than a one-event celebration that the 1986ers will be visible throughout the season, more in line with what Adam says here:

Still, there should be moments this year when individual players from that championship team are recognized.

How I Met The Mets: 1986 (complete episode)

Clocking in at nearly 9 minutes here is the finished version of “1986.”

As with the other episodes this is a proof of concept made by a fat guy using an iphone and youtube clips.  Yes I kinda glossed over the season, the playoffs and Game 7.  I try to keep my production time limited to two hours.  In theory, as a proper SNY series there would be access to additional clips and players.

20 pictures of the view from the berm in Port St. Lucie

Last weekend I headed out to The Berm after the game.

Seems like a cool place to watch a game.  I couldn’t get there from my seat during the game, so these are all taken about half an hour after the 10 inning tie last Saturday.

The beer buckets seem cool.
