SNY Ratings Down 17 Percent

No big shockers here but still interesting…SNY was down like 17 percent, with 200,000 households watching.  The Yankees on YES had 346,000 watching…and 210,000 watching the thrice division champion Phillies.

One thing to always remember is that “The Mets” are TV programming.   So when you look at bringing in a free agent, and you own the network, you need to look at the total picture.  A-Rod may be annoying. but A-TV is a product.

Check out the whole list here.

Meanwhile, another one of our ’86 heroes has problems.  I don’t do the personal stuff here but wanted to be thorough.

Fun With More Pictures Of The Final New York Mets Game Of 2009

Peter was kind enough to send his pictures from the last game at Citi to [email protected]

Here’s some new banners!

That’s $1000 and you get a stuffed Mr. Met doll.  One thousand dollars.   Come on out to Citi Field on the last day of the worst season in franchise history and spend one thousand dollars.

Earlier in the year I took this photo in the Mets Team Shop.  You don’t suppose dropping a grand gets you one of these does it?  Wow, thanks!

Little known fact – this elevator uses the logo of the old New York Giants, and is one of many items at Citi Field that helps counterbalance all the Dodgers stuff.

Here’s the crowd for Game 162.

Emmitt Smith was at the game!  (Peter must really be a fan of the site and enjoys when I do this)

Kick save and a beaut!  (Yeah Peter must know I do this.)

Mr. Met II was at the game!

This is what Mr. Met’s head used to look like before they didn’t use the character for a while…and when am I getting the mule back?

And what happened to Mrs. Met? (the ESPN creation not to be confused with 60’s era Lady Met)

Everything must go including us…

Looks like Pete takes great photos – or photos of posters or something…anyway this is a nice shot.

If you found this half-way entertaining please send us your pictures to [email protected] and be sure to include random jersey shots.

Photo Tour Of Coors Field (Part 3)

We’ve been touring Coors Field with our friend that seems to be some sort of international spy (always on the road with a drink in his hand).

Interesting stadium placement.  I’ve never been there but this shot suggests it’s not surrounded by parking lots.

“Coors” on dugout.  Annoying?  “Shea” would be ok but “Citi” would annoy me.  I actually can’t recall what the dugouts in Flushing said.

Looks like this one says Colorado.

  • The Mountain Ranch Bar & Grille is open to ALL TICKETED GUESTS and is located in the right field corner of Coors Field.
  • The Mountain Ranch Bar & Grille may be accessed at any of the following areas: the Gate B elevator behind section 111, the elevator behind section 114 and the right field side of the Club and Suite levels (Club and/or Suite level tickets are required for Club and/or Suite level access).
  • Game tickets are required to enter the Coors Field gates.

Ah Dinger….so lame.  Well that’s it from Coors Field.  Thanks to James Bond for the pics.  If you enjoyed this tour you may want to check out some of the others from Stadiums Week.
